Associate Software Engineer – Java

At Veeva Systems, a SaaS based company selling in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry, we’re seeking talented new grad Software Engineers with strong knowledge of Java, who are team players that can thrive in a fast-paced and fluid entrepreneurial environment.  An ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who loves technical challenges and wants to learn. This is an exciting role where the software engineer will have the opportunity to work with technologies like Java, Spring Roo, Hibernate, MySql, Memcached, Solr, Lucene and many more.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of software cycle: design, implementation, tuning, testing and monitoring of the functional areas that you will own.
• Accountable for delivery of projects within schedules and time lines.
• Contribute to technical design decisions for the product.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and technical support of the product.

• Solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OO design and software design).
• Capable of technical deep-dives into code.
• Built projects/applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL.
• Experience in development of Web based applications.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering / Science (Computer Science preferred).
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.  Veeva Systems does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of SaaS / cloud applications.
